No drag'n drop Functionality

Hi there,

thanks for developing Plycast. It's a very cool Playout with nice possibilities to configure your own personal playout system. Since a few months, I'm not able to add files to playlist. Drag'n drop is not working, CTRL C, CTRL V isn't working too. I followed installation Instructions on wiki, but the problem persists. I'm running Plycast on WIN10 22H2.
Do you have any ideas about this (possible windows related) bug?

Try to clear the Full Playlist, save, close and open PlyCast again. Maybe the Main Playlist has an error during save process.

Couriously I'm not able to add files from the beginning (fresh Installation) and on another WIN 10 PC. So, simple close, reopen doesnt work. I tried more than once reinstall but the problem persists. I also followed your software requirements. Maybe the problem started with a windows update which affects .NET... Has anyone same problems with up to date Win 10?

Did you unzip it in your userfolder and/or disable User access Control? May you can send us a Screen record...

We never hear some Problems.

Ok - Finally it works: I've started Plycast as administrator the whole time(rightclick -> run as administrator). When I simply open Plycast normally without any specical commands, it's starting correctly and drag'n drop operations are working perfectly. Lesson learned.

Dear Friends, same problem here. I can't drag and drop files to the playlist.
I turn off User access control and restart after that.
I run as administrator
I try with plycast previous version 1.0.4.2-rc (i was using it a few weeks ago)
I try server 2.1.12 NRK
I use a fresh win10 installation
Nothing works for me.

One more thing,
The system seems start well but when i try to load a clip OR EVEN A COMMENT to the playlist i can't do it.
The server runs well and if i restart the client i can verify in the server window that the client is connecting.
Also if i run play 1-10 video.mp4 right in the server window the video runs ok.
The previous version 1.0.4.2 fails too. I remember that it was working.

Thanks for reporting. We will check. Please dont start PlyCast as administrator. Just as logged user.

Today i did a new installation on another server we are using for office work. It has an old win10 installed
(2 years old). So i download the last Plycast version 1.0.4.3 and all is running without problems.
(Windows 10 pro 21H2 installed 4/22/2021 OS build 19044.1889)
This old win10 has a lot of pending updates. And that make me think about this problem may be some updated
library or software module from Microsoft.

Following the last idea about microsoft updates i did remove all the 2023 updates on my first system
(that doesn't work). After restart the server, and reinstall plycast 1.0.4.3, then the drag and drop and the lost functions are working again. The bad news is i can't say exactly which update do the thing. But i remember an update about .Net framework. I guess this may be the bad boy.

Dear friend
We have a Plycast system running in Windows 11. It seems stable. Just a few days of testing. This is not a production
system. We only have a bunch of clips looping, and the idea is to test memory leaks of the caspar server.
Soon i will try with a real production playlist and media.
